THE RELATIONSHIP OF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT BALANCED NUTRITION AND DIET WITH NUTRITIONAL STATUS IN YOUNG WOMEN AT SDN 24 BANDA ACEH

ABSTRACT
Background of Study: One of the health issues in Indonesia is nutritional problems, especially nutrition in young women, which has a serious impact on their reproductive health. The prevalence of nutritional status in adolescents of aged 12-18 years in Indonesia is as follow: very thin by 1.2%, thin by 3.5%, normal by 75.8% and obese by 15.1% and obesity by 4.3%. Research Objectives: To determine the relationship between knowledge about balanced nutrition and diet with nutritional status in young women at SDN 24 Banda Aceh in 2022. Research Methods: This study apply analytical research with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study was 39 young women, the study was conducted on June 20 - 22, 2022, the data is analyzed using univariate and bivariate with a chi square statistical test. Research Results: There is a relationship between knowledge about balanced nutrition with nutritional status in young women with a p value of 0.001 and there is an influence of diet with nutritional status in young women with a p value of 0.002. Conclusion And Suggestion: It is recommended that the school works together with the Nutrition Officer of District Community Health Center (Puskesmas) to re-intensify the monitoring of students' nutritional status and provide periodic socialization about balanced nutrition and a good diet. In addition, Health Promotion for students also emphasizes more about malnutrition and obesity.
