Pengaruh Discharge Planning terhadap Kesiapan Keluarga Pasien Pasca Stroke untuk Perawatan di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Zainoel abidin Banda Aceh
World Stroke Organization (WSO) on October 29, 2011 has celebrated the world of stroke or stroke world day (WSD) with the theme "1 of 6", which means, the people worldwide suffer a stroke every six seconds. Indonesia's health ministry data (2008) shows that stroke is the number one cause of the death in hospitalized patients. Post-stroke treatment at home is the key to prevent the re-occurrence of stroke which will endangers life. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the implementation of discharge planning/or family readiness for the treatment of 'post-stroke patients in dr. Zainoel Abidin Hospital, Banda Aceh. This research is a quantitative research design with quasi experiment with pre-post test design approach without controlling. The results were analyzed using the statistical parametric where paired sample t tests were processed using a computer. Results showed that before being given a discharge planning, the readiness of the family are in the category of partly unprepared, as many as 35 people (68.6%) and after being given a discharge planning. Family readiness are located partly in the category ready, as many as 26 people (51, 0%). There are differences in the mean value of family readiness for the treatment of post-stroke patients at home before granting discharge planning (7. 73) and after giving discharge planning (13.98). Relationships family readiness for post-stroke patients before and after discharge planning treatment are closely and positively, with a correlation value was 0. 733 and p-value = 0.000 t table value (13. 164> 1. 68) or p value a (0.000
