Pengaruh Konsep Diri Dan Pengetahuan Siswa Terhadap Kesiapsiagaan Bencana Gempa Bumi Di SDN 27 Dan MIN Merduati Banda Aceh

Preparedness for disaster risk reduction is needed in the face of disaster, especially when an earthquake is still relatively low given the knowledge of the public, especially children and the elderly are the most vulnerable age on the risk of casualties in a disaster. This study aims to describe and identify the effect of self-concept and knowledge of students in School District 27 Elementary and MIN Merduati Kuta Alam sub-district of Banda Aceh on disaster risk reduction preparedness earthquake. Survey research is explanatory research using an approach that is research that explains the relationship between the variables through hypothesis testing. Cross-sectional research design aimed to analyze the effect of the independent variables that identify the concept of self and knowledge of the preparedness of students. Determination of the sample using a stratified random sampling technique as much as 121 people is 52 people at SDN 27 and 69 at MIN Merduati. Primary data were obtained through a questionnaire that had been developed include: self-concept, knowledge, and preparedness for disaster risk reduction to the students. Based on interviews and observations of the researcher to the respondents note that (1) the general knowledge and the concept of self-respondents have been in the good category while the poor preparedness. This is because students who have not yet discovered the standby time of disaster, among them also there who do not understand the true disaster mitigation measures. The results showed that (2) the level of self-concept of students at SDN 27 is still lower than the MIN Merduati with a score of 764 and a mean of 14.69 (3) the level of knowledge of students at MIN Merduati lower than the SDN 27 with a score of 497 and mean 7.20 (4) the level of preparedness of students in the lower MIN Merduati of SDN 27 with a score of 2110 and a mean of 8.38. While the results of the bivariate analyzes found (5) the effect of knowledge on student preparedness Merduati MIN (P value = 0.018). The conclusion shows there are effect between the preparedness of the students' knowledge Merduati MIN. There is no direct effect between self-concept to readiness for students of SDN 27 and MIN Merduati. Disaster mitigation is suggested to the officer that socialization should be included in the learning process or integrated within subjects. To students and teachers are expected to continue to gain knowledge about earthquakes and mitigation, as well as forming self-concept in elementary education student in understanding disaster mitigation.
